Boxspring Breed Description

A Boxspring is a medium-sized breed. Height at the shoulders is 21-25 inches, and weight can vary from 20 to 60 pounds.

These dogs are lively, good-natured, and obedient. A Boxspring is typically intelligent and easy to train; its active, fun-loving personality will make it a perfect match for families with kids. The breed is also social with other pets, and is normally suspicious of (but not aggressive towards) unknown people. Though it has a bit of a stubborn streak, and will require consistent training, a Boxspring is watchful and attentive, and will make a great watchdog.

These are low-maintenance dogs. They shed a good bit, but will only require weekly brushing and occasional bathing. Not much training is necessary, and exercise needs are moderate.

Life expectancy for this breed is 12-15 years. A Boxspring's short coat is adaptable to most climates, and exists in a variety of colors including black, brown, white, cream, gold, and brindle. The coat is normally solid or parti-colored.
