The mild and playful French Bull Whippet, however, makes a perfect companion for a kid or a person belonging to any age group. The French Bull Whippet is protective of his family but isn't known to be aggressive. They can be a little wary of strangers but will be friendly once they get to know the person.
Although French Bull Whippet are usually fairly good with children, the French Bull Whippet can be less tolerant and has a nearly irresistible high prey drive that may cause them to chase or nip at younger children, who can be unpredictable and fast moving and the hybrid could inherit either temperament. French Bull Whippet are muscular, energetic, athletic animals that usually enjoy playing in water. He makes an excellent playmate for a child, although adults should supervise interactions with very young children: French Bull Whippet are not snappy or aggressive, but they do have limits on the handling and roughhousing they will tolerate. He is a very social breed, not the barking type but definitely protective and territorial. They thrive in the company of others and dislike being alone.
