The Havapoo is part purebred Havanese and part purebred Poodle. They are best described as social, intelligent and low maintenance companions. This breed is excellent for anyone-- young to old, experienced or not. Havapoos fit nicely in small living spaces such as apartments and don't require a super active owner.

This breed is not as popular yet as either of its parent breeds and may not be available locally. You should, however, be able to find Havapoo puppies for sale online fairly easily, or at least waiting lists for upcoming litters. This breed is not in extremely high demand but litters do get reserved pretty quickly. Finally, its unlikely you will find rescue/adoption organizations for the Havapoo so you may want to focus on groups for the Poodle and Havanese; adoption is always a very humane and beneficial choice.

The average price for a puppy is around $1800-$2000; occasionally they can be found for around $1000-1300 and sometimes even less. Remember, if a puppy price seems too good to be true it usually is; ask for proof of parents purebred status, veterinary visits and health of the puppy.

6. Health Guarantees where the breeder takes the puppy back within a certain amount of time if any health issues manifest probably means more expense for you.
7. Genetic testings for certain diseases as well as health certifications for eye, hip, elbow, etc. are helpful to alleviate your concerns about your new puppy's health but do increase the cost of him/her by quite a bit
8. Anything additional your new pet comes with such as an initial vet visit with shots and micro-chipping may also influence the final amount paid
