He can be very active and playful but typically not excessively boisterous. A dog of the hybrid will be easygoing and affectionate towards his humans, with a desire to please them. A sweet companion, his greatest desire is to be physically close to his family. These dogs were also very loyal and great companions.
If properly socialized, the Staffy Malamute is pleasant and affectionate towards all ages and towards other animals, provided it can resist their powerful urge to chase anything that runs. Because her parent breeds have different energy levels, the Staffy Malamute activity requirements might vary, depending on what parent breed the dog leans toward the most. He can be aggressive when he is defending his property. Like the Staffy they do not make good guard dogs because they are not territorial. If left alone too long, or if not properly trained, these dogs are prone to developing problem behaviors. It is recommended to socialize the Staffy Malamute at a young age so they can be more well rounded as adults.
