Solid Black Dogs
Many breeds have the genetics for solid black coats, so the chances of you seeing a solid black dog at some point in your life is very high. Black coats are the darkest of all dog coats and have shades ranging from soft-black to raven or jet black.
Note: Each breed has different standards, but generally a dog is considered "solid black" when their color is predominantly black. Small areas of another color (e.g. white) is usually allowed on the muzzle, chest, or legs as long as the area is small enough to be considered a marking and not a secondary color.
