Dark Blue Dogs

Dark blue is the second darkest coat color in dogs (only black coats are darker). Breeds with dark blue coats inherit a gene that causes black pigmentation to be muted. The result is a greyish coloring which is distinct from other grey colors and resembles a blue tint.
